人的角色和神的角色


导言

亚当拥有了上帝赋于的自由选择权,这个自由上帝极为看重。因为上帝造人乃是要人爱上帝,且为上帝所爱。而凡不经自由意志去选择的爱,就不是真爱。所以亚当可选择吃,或选择不吃这果子。这是一个生死攸关的选择。

观察与思考

从神告诉亚当不可吃分别善恶树上果子的那一刻起,亚当就面对一个选择。许多人写书,讨论在神对这世界拥有至高无上的权力,和人有责任(或自由)做选择,两者之间似乎存有极大的张力1

有人说是神决定每个人的命运,别的人又说,人拥有道德自由,他自己的选择会决定他的命运。其实圣经似乎教导了这两种概念,比如:在约书亚记二十四章15节,约书亚劝勉希伯来人说:“......今日就可以选择所要事奉的 ,至于我、和我家,我们必定事奉耶和华。”

然后在约翰福音十五章16节,主耶稣对他最亲近的朋友和跟随者说:“不是你们拣选了我,是我拣选了你们,并且分派你们去结果子,叫你们的果子常存。”

本研读指南无意深入查考和解决存在神的至高无上权柄和人的选择之间张力的问题,那个神学辩论超出我们讨论的范围。然而若对本研读资料的作者提出的下列想法做些思考,将会有所助益。

问题与反思

如果你去问一百个人,要他们解释他们怎么来认识神的,也许找不到很多人说,他们很聪明,所以能找到神,反而会说是神找到他们。还有,这些人当中有些人也许还会告诉你戏剧性的故事,他们原来如何排斥神,可是最后却来认识他!

你可以去问很多人关于他们的属灵旅程,但可能并不能帮你解决在神的掌管和人的选择之间的张力,这古老的神学问题,然而它也许会带你得到一个类似这样的结论:我们全都排斥神,除非神介入我们的生活,否则没有人真能找到神。

决心与行动

或许你已感受到一个渴望或牵引,开始想与神建立个人关系,可是目前为止,你一直犹豫不决。或者你已认识神,但为某件事在挣扎,正处在一个情况,要么选择相信他,要么不相信。切记,拒绝做选择,并不是你真能做的选择,因为如果你不选择信靠神,就是反对他。

无论你的处境如何,即使如果你觉得你无法选择相信神,至少可以祷告求神帮助你做选择。

你愿意让神使你愿意吗?如果不愿意,祷告求神让你愿意,好吗?

One last guideline for thinking about God’s action in view of all this: Always keep in mind that everything God does toward men – his commanding, his calling, his warning, his promising, his weeping over Jerusalem, – everything is his means of creating situations which function as motives to elicit the acts of will which he has ordained to come to pass. In this way He ultimately determines all acts of volition (though not all in the same way) and yet holds man accountable only for those acts which they want most to do.”
